    Not since the vollyball scene in Topgun have I witnessed such a, shall I say “beautiful” display of manlyness. I can only hope Kenny Logins was playing somewhere in the background. I know that’s how I see it playing out in my head.

    no gym access…10 x 100m sprints, assorted push-ups and sit-ups. All in the parking lot of the Radisson

    I was thinking more of a Titanic moment when Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were in front of the stern with there arms raised ready to take on the world (a.k.a. Dustin)

    then ran 2 800s b/c i suck. then somehow, i do not know how, brent and siu talked me into a 200m overhead walking lunge deal with a 25lb plate, i lasted about 150m before i gave up haha it was stupid.

    175 sp

    886 total

    I was a little too confident on the backsquat and failed 286 twice before correcting my suck to get it on the third attempt. also bit off a bit more than I could chew on the 2nd attempts of the other two lifts. Just didnt game it too well

    Still a little beat up from Twins, trying to get back on track.

    BS 316 (again)
    SP 160 (shoulders still sore, wasnt expecting much but still disappointing)
    DL 365 375F 315×2, 315×3, 275×8

    Deadlifts were a struggle, so punished myself with 200m of 45lb OH lunges to end the day

    640 Total My First CFT (I figure anything over 50% of Dustin’s isn’t too bad.) Also there will be a review class for Basic Sailing Terms 101 later this week for Arjuna. Bow refers to the front of a ship or the verb form regrettably demonstrated by myself in the above photo.)

    I bought a surveying wheel today and measured out our courses. Our 400m runs are spot on. As suspected, however, our telephone pole to telephone pole 800m loop is actually only 742m. This skews our times a bit relative to those running these WODs on a track, though it’s hard to say exactly how much due to the four 90 degree turns we make and the occasional obstacle. Our “Michael” times remain legit due to our starting point inside the driveway.

    For those who would like, we can easily make the adjustments to the 800m course, but it doesn’t matter too much; ultimately, what really matters is continued improvement over whichever distances we run.

    Did the 25lb overhead walking lunge thingy – horrible. Seriously was about to quit about ten steps in, took probably ten sets to finish.

    Signed up thinking that there was no way there would be more legs – Yay 5K!
