    Not to sound like a pansy, but I don’t think a 5k would be the best thing for my current respiratory situation (getting over a throat bug from the weekend that’s screwing with my asthma.) I’ll be in tomorrow morning to sub something, though.

    Yesterday’s WOD
    Shoulder press: 45/51/60 X 6
    75 Snatch’s at 55 9:54 (I think that is the slowest time. I was trying to work on my form a bit, since I never snatch. This is another one of the movements, I don’t understand how to do super fast.)

    Over the weekend I did the Bear complex at 75lbs and Jerry (run 1 mile/row 2000/run 1 mile) from the main site in 28:40

    not as good as i wanted but i’ve run more in the last week than in about the last 6 months so my legs are a little fried. sub-30 next time for sure!!

    Ran 25:55 Which is a PR by 3:14. so that is pretty cool, probably lost 25 pounds since last run so I imagine that helped.

    I am almost embarrassed to post my time, but I am proud of myself for doing it AND keeping a positive attitude about it. Next time, I’ll hustle more!
    Oh, and I’ve got some motivation. I’m running the Reds 5k on June 5th! I did it a couple years ago and it was a lot of fun. Here is the link:

    Funny story: As I began the 5k, I told myself I would not stop until I got to Brotherton. The whole time I kept pushing myself and said that when I got to Brotherton, I would take it easy and walk for 1 minute…

    So…. –> As Brotherton approached, I grew excited. Finally, some rest! As I reached Brotherton, I thought “noone is around to watch me, I can simply walk for 1 minute and noone will know…”

    Well…. –> Steve must have sent a henchman out, because I was not even 15 seconds into my walk when barreling down the street came a white mini-van…

    a white mini-van–> along with this van came the voice of MegHan screetching “Come on, Scott; MOVE IT!…”

    SCOTT! i love that story. I never go that way and I was sitting at felding and brotherton and there looked like traffic up ahead on marburg so i said, ah, i’ll go brotherton (completely oblivious to the 5k route). As I drove I was like, shit, there’s andrea, then you (had to say something) then comes tim v and tony. loved it! everyone was running but you!
