Tuesday – WOD

Five rounds of:

10 overhead squats, unbroken
10 pull-ups, chest-to-bar

Alternating between the two movements, begin a set of 10 every two minutes. Select your own load and pull-up variation. If you successfully complete 10 unbroken overhead squat reps, you must go up in weight on the next set.

    Today’s WOD. 53/58/63/68/73 (failed on rep 7). All butterfly pull-ups. Last round, I did 10 consecutive. I didn’t drop from the bar on any round but I did stop and restart and they weren’t as pretty. PRs all around.

    By the way, @ Alexis…I know that you guys are going to a water polo tournament this weekend, but I just wanted to check to see if there is any polo on Sunday night. Let me know if there is, as I think there may be some more people at the gym interested in coming (I’ve been recruiting!)

    (weight used is 155# for males, 100# for females; your watch is set on a 2 min 30 sec countdown timer for each round; the rest left over after each round is your total score; i.e. start the timer as soon as you start your 1st power clean, whats left after the row is your rest and your score for round 1…repeat; if you fail to make the 2:30 cut off in one round, finish the round, but minus those sec to your total rest time at end)

    PU- all sets unbroken but kipping started to suck after I got fatigued.

    Pull ups, thin green band, 2 sets UB then, 8/6/7, my grip was shot and I was afraid of falling off the bar.

    This workout was harder than I thought it would be.

    I thought the pull ups had to be unbroken too, otherwise I would have finished out the sets of 10 😦
